The spark: From classroom to clinic

Our journey began over 33 years ago in the classroom. As a beginning teacher, I witnessed first-hand the remarkable transformation of a student with Irlen Syndrome. This student, once below average in Year 3, went on to become Dux of Primary School, from the benefit of wearing her Irlen Lenses. Throughout my teaching career, I was consistently amazed by the significant improvements students experienced when using coloured paper, coloured overlays or Irlen lenses. Even after retiring from teaching, I couldn't keep this invaluable knowledge to myself. My 'why' is to share this life-changing understanding with Wagga Wagga and regional NSW.
